Get Involved
Here are several ways to get involved in stopping unfair rate increases:
- Sign up for email updates from RPA on what is happening that will affect your rates.
- Review this website to understand the issues that result in unfair rate increases. Send the website link to others to help us spread the word!
- Volunteer to help with the upcoming AWA rate protest by walking door to door to collect signatures in your neighborhood
- Attend public meetings and ask your representatives to take steps to avoid unfair rates.
- Write a letter to your elected representatives including the AWA Board, Board of Supervisors, Jackson City Council, Sutter Creek City Council, Plymouth City Council, Ione City Council, and Amador City Council.
- Write a letter to the editor. You can email your letter to Upcountry News, Amador Community News and Ledger Dispatch.
- Write a letter to the Amador Grand Jury (scroll to bottom of page for email address). Voice your complaints about AWA and ask that they ensure that your representatives work in the best interest of the public.
- Volunteer to help RPA spread the word and inform the public of how their rate money is being used to fund special interest projects and high-paid management employees.
- Contribute funds to RPA so that we can continue to move our public officials towards representing the Amador ratepayers.
